Registration process

For admission in the academic session 2026-27, all applicants will have to apply through the Online Application Portal.

The last date of Registration for application is 26th March, 2026 (Thursday) 11:00:00 PM [IST]. The Registration will automatically close after that time.

Registered applicants must complete the application submission by 26th March, 2026 (Thursday) 11:29:59 PM [IST]. Those applicants who have not completed the application submission would not be able to login after that time. Even if you are logged in, the forms and application submission button will automatically become inaccessible after that time.

Registration Process

The registration process will requre your name and a valid email address to which you have access. First time users: please click the Register Button and enter your Name, Email address and a password of your choice and click Register. Please note that :

  • Name & E Mail address can't be changed later. Therefore make sure that you enter them correctly.
  • Only one application is accepted from an email address.
  • You will be sent a verification email to your email address (as filled up by you in the registration form). The process of registration will be completed only after the email address has been succussfully verified. Therefore, make sure that you have access to the email address.
  • The password has to have at least 8 characters with at least one uppercase character, at least one number, and at least one special character.

Photo Id

  • Note that, while filling up the forms, you will be required to fill up the Photo Id number printed on one of the Govt.-issued Photo ID cards. Also note that you have to produce that card, in original, for verification during the entrance test.

Form fill up

After signing in, you will need to fill up some basic information about yourself, upload your photo and signature, and select the appropriate category. Then, you will land on the Dashboard page, which will have a message instructing the steps to be taken as well as the current status of your application.

You will have to fill up two forms, upload your photo, and scanned copy of your full signature.

  • A digital photograph in JPG/JPEG/PNG format showing your facial features in full frontal view would have to be uploaded. When you upload the photo, you will be shown a preview. Make sure that you are clearly recongnizable in the preview and then save it.
  • The photograph should be 35 mm in width and 45 mm in height and the file size should be between 10 KB and 300 KB.
  • The full signature scan should be in JPG/JPEG/PNG format. The image should be 90 mm in width and 30 mm in height. The file size should be between 5 KB and 100 KB.

You may additionally have to upload documents depending on your answers to some of the questions.

  • If you belong to a Reserved Category, or are a Person with Disability or from Economically Weaker Section or are applying for the Diploma Course in North East Centre (Tezpur) under the Domicile Category, you will need to upload supporting documents for the same.
  • Note for OBC-NCL / GEN-EWS / PwBD / Domicile candidates: In case you do not have a valid certificate at the time of applying, you have to apply as a general / non-PwBD / non-domicile candidate and pay the appropriate fees. You will be given an opportunity to change your category / PwBD / domicile status and upload the certificate shortly after the admission test. The time window for this change will be specified on the main admission website. However, the difference of the application fees will not be refunded.
  • If you are applying for the an M.Tech programme in CS, CrS or QROR through GATE channel, you will need to upload a valid GATE scorecard.
  • If you are applying for the Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Statistics (PGDAS) online programme, you will need to upload the bachelor's degree certificate.
  • If you are a Sponsored Candidate, you will need to upload the supporting documents.
  • The documents to be uploaded should be in PDF format. The maximum file size is 5 MB.

Confirmation of Submission

You will be required to confirm the submission of your application, after filling up the all the forms and uploading all the files.

Note that the application form would not be accepted until you confirm your form submission.

Confirmation of Submission

  • The Confirmation button is available in the View and Submit page. If some of the steps (in filling up the form) are not completed, the button will remain disabled. As soon as all the required steps are completed, the button will become active.
  • You would be able to update the application data and uploaded files as many times as you want, until you confirm your submission.
  • Once you have confirmed your submission, no further updates will be allowed.

  • After you have confirmed your submission, please pay the application fee (plus applicable online payment charges) by clicking the "Make Payment" button on the dashboard. You will be redirected to SBI ePay gateway for making online payment.
  • Your application will not be considered unless your payment is successful.
  • Once the payment is confirmed, you do not have to do anything else. About two weeks before the examination, you will receive a link for downloading your admit card. The admit card will contain all the details of the examination and your registration number.
